A man has been left red-faced over comments he made to his wife before she won a Lottery jackpot.
According to Graham Gardiner, a driving instructor, he told his wife Debby that participating in the lottery was a waste of time days before entering the draw.
However, days later, they received news that she had won KSh 4.5 million. On hearing about the win, the 60-year-old changed tune.
“It’s quite funny. Because the past Saturday, she said to me that we are never going to win this because we haven’t even got a doorbell,” he narrated.
According to Graham, they are planning on spending their winnings on a family trip to the US
“It means a lot. I’d like to go on a Florida holiday with the family because I like all the theme parks,” the Mirror reported.
KSh 1 billion winner returns to work
In June, TUKO.co.ke reported that a man who won KSh 1.6 billion in 1996 was spotted reported back to work.
After winning the hefty sum, Karl Crompton was touted as the most eligible bachelor in the UK.
The man from Lancashire seemed to have blown through all the cash and gone back to his construction site hustle.
The 48-year-old was pictured in Blackpool hauling cement on a wheelbarrow at a construction site.
