Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani arrived in Rwanda for a two-day work visit on Thursday.
Premier Ngirente’s discussions with him focused on evaluating Rwanda-Qatar ties, identifying areas for development, and discussing other African challenges.

Following the meeting, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr Richard Sezibera, stated that ties between the two countries are healthy.

“Rwanda-Qatar collaboration is doing well, and Africa-Qatar cooperation is also thriving. “The purpose of the visit was to prepare the path for the deepening of existing connections,” he explained.

Dr. Sezibera stated that they met yesterday to discuss investment in agricultural, transportation, aviation, irrigation, and mining.

Rwanda and Qatar have a long history of cooperation.

President Paul Kagame visited Qatar for two days last year and met with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss ways to improve economic collaboration.
